FAQ and troubleshooting
Nakine does not answer
Confirm that Nakine is online, the command is being used in a server rather than a DM, and the bot can view and send messages in the channel. Run /ping, then /help. If the command list is stale, wait for Discord's command cache to update and verify the server language.
A moderation action failed
Check the bot role hierarchy, the target's roles, the required permission, and the configured immune roles. Discord will reject an action against a member above Nakine or an unmanageable role. Use /moderation case and the moderation logs to distinguish a permission failure from a policy block.
Logs are missing
Check Logs → Configuration and Logs → Channels, then verify that the bot can see, send messages, embed links, and read history in the destination. Review ignored channels and roles. Deleted-message logs can contain sensitive content, so keep the log channel private.
Tickets do not open
Verify that the panel is posted in the expected channel, the ticket category still exists, and Nakine can manage channels and permissions. Check role/user access rules and the ticket limit before reposting the panel.
Twitch alerts or reports are empty
Reconnect and validate the streamer account, confirm the bot is present in chat, and type /mod <bot-name> if needed. OAuth tokens can expire. Reports depend on events received during the stream and may be incomplete after an API or connection interruption.
A Twitch command does not run
Check the command's active state, visibility, expiry, usage limit, and minimum chat-line rule. Scheduled commands need an interval and enough chat activity. Confirm that the command quota for the selected plan has not been reached.
A giveaway has no participants
For Discord, verify the required, blacklist, bypass, account-age, booster, and bonus-role rules. For Twitch, the keyword must match exactly and the follower/subscriber filters must allow the viewer. A completed giveaway with no eligible participants cannot choose a winner.
What to include in a support request
Send the locale, module, server or Twitch channel, exact command or URL, approximate time, and error message. Never send passwords, OAuth tokens, secret keys, or payment data.
